You will act as a trusted advisor to clients - ensuring strong adoption, satisfaction, and retention, while identifying opportunities to expand accounts and win new business.
Key Responsibilities Client Account Management & Customer Success
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of existing clients
- Onboard new clients and support successful implementation of accounting software
- Deliver client training on system functionality, best practices, and new features
- Identify client needs, usage gaps, and opportunities to improve value
- Manage renewals, upselling, and cross-selling activities
- Work closely with support and implementation teams to resolve client issues efficiently
- Support the full sales cycle, including lead qualification, product demonstrations, proposals, negotiation, and closing
- Identify opportunities for account expansion and new business growth
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations to clients and prospects
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and contracts
- Maintain accurate pipeline and activity records within the CRM system
- Develop strong knowledge of accounting software, integrations, and use cases
- Stay up to date with developments in accounting, finance, and technology
- Provide client feedback to internal teams to support product improvements
- Degree educated or equivalent experience (Accounting or Finance desirable but not essential)
- Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) desirable
- Good understanding of core accounting principles, including:
- Bookkeeping
- Management accounts
- Financial reporting
- Experience using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage , or similar platforms
- Strong general IT skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
- Comfortable working with cloud-based platforms and digital workflows
- Understanding of how technology improves efficiency and reporting in accounting processes
- Enjoys working with clients and building long-term relationships
- Has a commercial mindset and is comfortable working towards targets
- Is confident demonstrating software and explaining technical concepts
- Wants to combine accounting knowledge with sales and client management
- Do you have at least 2 years' experience working with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)?
- How many years of experience do you have in account management or client-facing roles?
- Do you have experience delivering product demonstrations?
- Are you part-qualified or studying towards ACCA, ACA, or CIMA?
- Do you have experience managing the full sales cycle?
- Have you worked in a commission-based or target-driven role?
- Do you hold a valid UK driving licence?
- Are you eligible to work full-time in the UK?
