Sales Engineer
Salary £40K - £60K per annum (plus discretionary bonus) - hybrid working - Oxford HQ (Dog friendly office)
Are you a technically curious, customer-facing problem solver who enjoys working across APIs, integrations and complex SaaS solutions whilst helping customers solve real business challenges?
CN Sales Recruitment are working exclusively with a highly respected and growing regulatory technology software business with approximately 90 staff and an established global customer base operating across financial services, government and regulated enterprise markets.
Our client is looking to appoint a Sales Engineer to support continued growth, increasing customer demand and a growing pipeline of technically complex opportunities across Europe and international markets. This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody looking to combine technical expertise, customer engagement and commercial exposure within a collaborative and highly specialised software business.
The role will involve leading technical discovery conversations, supporting customer workshops, delivering tailored demonstrations and helping customers understand how complex data and reporting solutions integrate into their environments. You will work closely with Sales, Product and Delivery teams to shape technical solutions, support RFP and tender responses and guide customers through evaluation and decision-making processes. Customers range from financial institutions and enterprise organisations through to regulators, compliance-driven businesses and strategic technology partners operating within highly regulated industries. This is a highly consultative role where your ability to simplify technical concepts, build credibility and solve customer challenges will directly contribute to winning new business and long-term customer success.
The successful candidate could already be working within Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting or Pre-Sales, although we are equally interested in individuals from technical support, implementation, integration engineering or professional services backgrounds looking to step into a more commercially focused role.
You should have experience working within a B2B software or technology environment and feel comfortable discussing APIs, SaaS platforms, integrations, workflows and customer technical requirements. Strong communication skills, curiosity, initiative and the ability to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are all essential for success within the position. Previous exposure to financial services, regulatory technology, structured data, XML, JSON or cloud-native environments would be beneficial, although domain experience is not considered essential for somebody with the right technical aptitude and customer-facing mindset.
Our client offers the collaborative culture and visibility of a smaller software business combined with technically complex projects and exposure to enterprise-level customers and technologies. Employees are encouraged to take ownership, contribute ideas, improve processes and develop broad technical and commercial expertise whilst working closely with experienced leadership, product and engineering teams.
The role offers hybrid working, a strong benefits package, bonus potential, flexible working practices and genuine long-term career progression within a growing and highly specialised technology company. To find out more, apply now.
