Life on the teamWe are looking for a Legal Adviser to join our UK in-house legal team within our Legal & Contracting function.In this role, you will provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to our sales teams and support the business on a broad range of legal matters.With a strong focus on IT outsourcing, you will play a key role in advising on bid strategies and contracting approaches, helping to drive successful commercial outcomes while effectively managing risk.What youll doProvide legal advice and guidance to the business to minimise commercial exposureNegotiate and draft agreements with customers and suppliers across both public and private sectorsAdvise on bid strategies, contractual frameworks, and deal structuring for complex outsourcing opportunitiesManage in-life contractual disputesDevelop and maintain internal legal standards and policiesTake ownership of the delivery of significant business focused projects/deliverables to defined targetsLiaise with colleagues to ensure best practice and drive continual improvement and internal trainingMake decisions which impact on the success of assigned business matters i.e. results, deadlines and budgetAct as an ambassador for ComputacenterEnsure compliance with information security policies and report any risks or incidentsBuild strong relationships across the business and act as a trusted legal partnerManage and implement projects relevant to specialist area including risk managementAssess situations, issues and opportunities and escalate when appropriateWhat youll needUK qualified solicitor with 5+ years PQE (or equivalent) with in-house experience in a fast-paced sales environmentExperience working on outsourcing agreements, preferably acting on behalf of an IT supplier to both private sector and public sector customersStrong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyEnthusiastic and self-motivated with a willing, helpful attitudeProven experience in linking legal issues in a business and industry context and ensure that legal and compliance issues are taken into consideration and fully complied withExcellent written and oral and negotiation skills with good attention to detailExperience of managing key stakeholders and communicating pragmatic legal advice across the businessAbility to work independently and also to be part of a teamA calm professional manner, even during times of rapid changeTPBN1_UKTJ
