Apprentice Technical Engineer

Conway Precision Engineering are looking to recruit a Technical Support Engineer to create CAD modelling for production/manufacturing as well as keeping to ISO standards, undertake production monitoring and more.

Role

Typical duties for this role will include:

  • Having a good understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes
  • Working to ISO standards and create audits as required
  • Maintaining the ISO system
  • Creating CAD modeling for production/manufacturing
  • Being fully conversant with manual inspection procedures/methods
  • Being fully conversant with CMM inspection to include CAD models
  • Undertaking production monitoring
  • Creating written reports (FAIR, ISIR etc,) issue conformance certificates and generating customer information supply packs 

Training

This is a Level 3 Engineering Technician apprenticeship, Technical Support pathway, delivered over a period of 4 years. 

Mandatory qualifications:

  • Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
  • Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) – Technical Support
  • Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)

The apprentice will attend the training centre, In-Comm Training Services in Aldridge, WS9 8UG, 2.5 days per week for the first two years, and the company for the rest of the time.

To become a valued member of the team who's input will become vital in the future development of the company. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there will be opportunity to be considered for a variety of job roles.
