Cyber Security Project Manager

Overview

CPS Group UK are partnering with an organisation to hire an experienced Cyber Security Project Manager required to pay a key role in the delivery of a major security transformation programme within a complex, highly regulated environment. The role is responsible for coordinating governance, service transition, security operations, and future-state security capability delivery while ensuring alignment between technical, operational, commercial, and contractual objectives.

This role requires demonstrable experience in:

- Security Tooling projects (e.g. migration or implementation)
- Service Transition / Operational Readiness
- RAID & Governance ownership
- Exec-level stakeholder management (in a multi-supplier environment)

Key Responsibilities

* Lead programme governance activities including steering committees, working groups, risk management, change control, and executive reporting.
* Manage integrated project plans, milestones, dependencies, resource requirements, and critical delivery activities across multiple workstreams and suppliers.
* Coordinate stakeholders across technical, operational, security, service management, and senior leadership teams.
* Own and maintain RAID processes, ensuring risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies are effectively managed and escalated.
* Drive service transition and operational readiness activities, including knowledge transfer, documentation reviews, access management, cutover planning, and post-transition support.
* Oversee the delivery of security operations enhancements and migration activities involving SIEM, SOC, identity and access management, governance, and security controls.
* Manage contractual and commercial deliverables, including milestone tracking, scope management, financial reporting, and change requests.
* Produce clear programme reporting, providing visibility of delivery status, risks, dependencies, financial performance, and decision requirements.

Key Skills & Experience

* Proven experience delivering large-scale cyber security, infrastructure, or digital transformation programmes.
* Strong programme governance and stakeholder management expertise within complex multi-supplier environments.
* Experience managing security operations, service transitions, operational readiness, and technology migrations.
* Knowledge of cyber security domains including SOC operations, SIEM platforms, identity and access management, security governance, and risk management.
* Excellent planning, reporting, financial management, and executive communication skills.
* Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining control of delivery, quality, and compliance obligations.

Success Criteria

Success will be measured through the effective delivery of programme milestones, strong governance and risk management, operational readiness, stakeholder confidence, contractual compliance, financial control, and the successful transition from legacy services to future-state security platforms.
