Project Manager - Structured Cabling

CPS Group UK are delighted to be seeking an experienced Project Manager for an initial 3-6 month duration (likely long-term extension). Supporting project delivery across multiple client sites along in Berkshire/Lower Midlands, the Project Manager will demonstrate a strong track record in delivering Civils, Fibre and associated projects and be familiar with Structured Cabling works.

Due to the nature of the sites, we are seeking a PM with proven experience in managing E2E projects and teams of engineers in a client facing environment, with strong stakeholder management experience. They must have a focus on high standard installation and project delivery.

Role & Responsibilities

Effectively planning the implementation of fibre infrastructure & civils projects
Managing multiple sites and clients simultaneously, with a continued focus on quality vs. cost
Monitoring and controlling progress
Delivering Moves/Adds/Changes projects as directed
Comfortable in managing and directing teams of Engineers
Reporting progress against plan to all stakeholders
Managing risks and issues on the project effectively
Resolving project issues as they arise to drive progress to plan
Manage sub-contractors, and allocation of work
Managing the project budget, tracking spends and providing accurate and timely reports

Required Skills & Experience

Proven track record in delivering Structured Cabling projects
Background in Electrical (C&G) would be advantageous
Knowledge of Electrical & Networking
Extensive knowledge of Structured & Data Cabling solutions
Client-facing experience (on-site)
Able to complete project documentation and keep a project log
Other industry accreditations (MCSE, CompTIA, C&G, Streetworks, Prince 2)
Knowledge of key industry vendors
Hands On approach: Ability to install, terminate, test copper and fibre
Experience of completing documentation and survey information
