Senior Software Engineer
Up to £65,000 p/annum
Primarily Remote (Regional Offices plus B-weekly visit to London - fully expensed)
Security Clearance: Candidates must be eligible for security clearance due to the nature of the project.
CPS Group are supporting a leading IT Consultancy in the recruitment of multiple Senior Software Engineers to join a growing team delivering secure, technically complex projects across the public sector.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer with strong Java experience.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll work as part of an Agile team, contributing across the full software development life cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Designing, developing and testing bespoke software solutions in Java, React JavaScript, and TypeScript
* Working across a range of open-source technologies and libraries
* Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab
* Deploying applications across AWS
* Contributing to architecture, technical design and solution development
* Working across the full software life cycle, from requirements through to delivery and ongoing support
* Working collaboratively with customers and wider technical teams
* Taking technical ownership and mentoring or leading others where appropriate
Key Skills:
* Strong commercial experience with Java
* Hands-on Full Stack development experience
* Experience with React, JavaScript and TypeScript
* Experience working with AWS and/or Azure
* Strong understanding of software development best practices
* Experience working within Agile environments
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Previous consultancy experience would be advantageous but isn't essential.
