Role Description
We are seeking a one day per week part-time Video Games Tech Art/Environment Trainer to join our team on-site in Brighton for the period june/july/august. In this role, you will develop and deliver training in technical art and environment design for video games, tailored to industry standards and trends. Key responsibilities include designing curriculum materials, conducting workshops, offering one-on-one support, monitoring learners' progress, and providing constructive feedback. You will collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to ensure training stays relevant to evolving technologies and industry needs.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and texturing software
- Experience with scripting languages and technical workflows used in game development
- Strong communication and presentation skills for delivering interactive training sessions
- Ability to analyze learner needs, create engaging course content, and evaluate learning outcomes
- Experience in game production pipelines, especially in tech art or environment design
- Relevant professional experience in the game development industry
- Bachelor’s degree in game design, computer science, digital art, or a related field; OR equivalent industry experience
