The opportunity:
As a Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll be joining a telecoms company responsible for next generation wireless infrastructure.
You’ll work in a small team and closely with the CTO and Network Architect to support their key customers.
Their solution is an innovative platform that has captured the attention of the leading mobile network operators (MNOs) in the UK and their services are in demand.
This is going to be a varied role, hence the Network & Infrastructure Engineer job title.
You will get the opportunity to take your experience, but also gain experience and exposure to varying network and server assets.
You will act as the day-to-day technical expert, responsible for creating network solutions and working closely with customer to provide solutions.
It’s a fully remote role, with potential travel into London from time to time for team meetings throughout the year.
Day to day
In what’s going to be a small team we are looking for someone who can be flexible to meet the flexile demands of the role.
We don’t need you to be an expert in all areas, but the willingness to pick up various is key.
Typically, your day will involve;
- Network and Security Design and Documentation
- Server and Virtualised Server Design and Documentation
- On site installation and Commission
- Complex Trouble shooting
- Supporting deployment activities and resolving issues for enterprise and MNO customers across multiple platforms and services
Who we are looking for
This is a telecoms network position, so we are expecting the right candidate to have;
- Prior experience in telecoms / mobile / wireless networks
- CCNA / CCNP Level understanding of Networks
- Experience with any of the following device vendors
- Juniper
- Ruckus / Commscope
- Fortinet
- Cisco
- Technically proficient in the following Network technologies / protocols
- Layer 2 / Layer 3
- MPLS
- BGP
- CMPv2 Authentication solutions
- Good Understanding of IP Transit ecosystems
- Appreciation of Packet Optical solutions from vendors such as Infinira and Ciena
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — able to balance the needs of customers, contractors, and internal teams
