Digital Project Manager – Ecommerce Migration

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Digital Project Manager to support the delivery of a large-scale Magento to Shopify Plus migration.

This is a hands-on role coordinating multiple workstreams across development, design, QA, content, data and external agencies. You will help keep the project on track, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure a smooth, well-governed go-live within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the migration roadmap, project plan, milestones and RACI
  • Coordinate development, design, QA, content and agency teams
  • Track product/customer data, order history, SEO redirects, integrations, themes and analytics
  • Support requirements gathering, feature scoping, prioritisation and change control
  • Coordinate UAT, testing and defect resolution
  • Oversee migration of website content, landing pages, blogs and promotional assets
  • Manage project documentation, status reports, risks, issues and decisions
  • Run stand-ups, project meetings and stakeholder updates
  • Identify and escalate risks, blockers and scope creep
  • Coordinate Shopify and development partners
  • Support cutover, go-live, rollback planning and post-launch stabilisation

Skills required for the role:

  • Proven experience as a Digital Project Manager or Ecommerce Project Manager
  • Experience delivering ecommerce, website or platform migration projects
  • Magento and/or Shopify experience strongly preferred
  • Strong stakeholder, organisational and communication skills
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams and external agencies
  • Experience with requirements, scoping and change control
  • Familiarity with Jira, Trello or similar tools
  • Good understanding of APIs, data migration, integrations and web development
  • Strong risk, issue and dependency management skills

Desirable:

  • Magento-to-Shopify migration experience
  • Shopify Plus experience
  • Understanding of SEO and website migrations
  • Ecommerce QA/UAT experience
  • Agile/Scrum experience
