ICT Apprentice

This role supports clients while building strong technical and people skills.
Role
- Receive, send and track laptops and other IT equipment
Keep equipment correctly labelled and recorded - Keep the equipment store, cupboards and build areas tidy and organised
- Carry out stock checks and reconcile equipment
- Make sure devices, chargers and accessories are accounted for
- Prepare laptops for engineers, including Windows updates and basic setup
- Package equipment safely and professionally for clients
- Arrange courier collections and take parcels to local courier points when required
- Collect or deliver equipment to client offices when required
- Keep equipment bookings accurate and make sure devices are ready when expected
- Keep on top of your own tasks and work queue
- Support engineers with basic build and deployment work
As the role develops, you will also begin working on straightforward support tasks such as disk-space alerts, BitLocker checks, monitoring alerts, basic device issues and simple laptop builds.
Training
As an Information Communications Technician apprentice, you’ll help to provide on-hand technical support to internal and external customers including troubleshooting and solving non-routine problems, as well as supporting users remotely and face-to-face.
Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll be invited to monthly 2-hour live sessions hosted online in addition to working on your course content via our online learning platform.
To meet the off-the-job requirements for your apprenticeship, you'll also spend a minimum of 6 hours a week within the workplace developing your ICT knowledge, skills, and behaviours listed within your bespoke LDN Training Plan.
