Job Description - Applications Engineer (Lifting Equipment)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Applications Engineer to join a growing engineering team specialising in lifting equipment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong engineering background who can support clients with the use, installation, and maintenance of machinery, while providing technical expertise and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers on lifting equipment and associated systems
• Deliver guidance on installation, operation, and maintenance of machinery
• Produce and interpret technical drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Conduct site visits to assess requirements and support project delivery
• Assist with design specifications and application solutions
• Work closely with internal engineering teams to ensure customer requirements are met
• Support project engineering activities from concept through to completion

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience within the lifting equipment industry is essential
• Background as an Applications Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or similar role
• Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD)
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and engineering principles
• Experience with material handling / lifting systems
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with clients
• Willingness to travel for site visits

• Salary: 40,000 - 50,000
• Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm (Days)
