Process Lead - Maturation

About the Role

As a Process Lead - Maturation, you will play a key role in ensuring cask filling, disgorging and warehousing activities are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Acting as deputy to the Spirit Supply Team Leader when required, you will provide leadership across site operations, compliance activities and continuous improvement initiatives, helping to ensure operational excellence across our maturation facilities.

Please note: this role is based across two locations, East Kilbride and Broxburn, and will require travel between both sites.

Key Responsibilities

•Supervise and prioritise cask filling, disgorging and warehousing operations to achieve agreed weekly plans.

•Ensure quality controls are maintained and delivered to the highest standards.

•Act as site liaison for internal and external visitors and regulatory bodies.

•Lead and promote high standards of health, safety and wellbeing across the site.

•Maintain safe systems of work, risk assessments and permit-to-work processes.

•Support site security and excise compliance requirements.

•Complete HMRC submissions and maintain accurate warehouse and blend centre records.

•Ensure SAP, DRAMS, DRAMScan and Scada transactions are completed within required timescales.

•Lead team-level continuous improvement activities.

•Coordinate short-term absence cover and support day-to-day people management activities.

•Liaise with engineering teams to coordinate maintenance requirements.

•Build strong relationships with transport providers and other key stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications

•Higher level education or workplace training/qualification demonstrating strong numerical and written skills

Relevant Working Experience

•Higher level education or workplace training/qualification demonstrating strong numerical and written skills

Skills

•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

•Intermediate IT skills, including competency in Microsoft Excel.

•Knowledge of SAP and DRAMS would be advantageous.

•Experience of risk assessments, safe working practices and health & safety legislation.

•Good understanding of process controls and process deviation management.

•Ability to build effective relationships with customers, suppliers and transport providers.

•Familiarity with excise regulations and the operation of bonded premises.

•Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.

•Proactive approach to continuous improvement and problem solving.
