Data Architect
- Design and own enterprise-level data architecture including data lakes, warehouses, and lakehouse platforms.
- Define data modelling standards (conceptual, logical, physical; dimensional modelling; canonical models).
- Lead cloud data platform design using Azure/AWS/GCP services, including scalable storage, compute, and integration patterns.
- Set data governance standards covering data quality, metadata, lineage, retention, and regulatory compliance.
- Architect ETL/ELT and streaming pipelines using modern tools (e.g., ADF, Databricks, Kafka, Fabric).
- Ensure security and compliance via IAM, encryption, data zoning, RBAC, and platform best practices.
- Drive performance optimisation across queries, pipelines, compute clusters, and storage structures.
- Partner with business and technology leaders to translate requirements into data architecture blueprints and roadmaps.
- Provide technical leadership to engineers, analysts, and cross-functional teams.
- Establish best practices for data lifecycle management, integration, and platform operations.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and guide platform evolution accordingly.
