Key Responsibilities
- Integrated Logistics Support Management
- Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of the ZODIAC Integrated Logistics Support strategy.
- Ensure compliance with Def Stan 00-600 and supportability requirements.
- Develop, maintain and assure Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSPs) throughout the programme life cycle.
- Ensure supportability requirements are captured, managed and evidenced throughout delivery activities.
- Through-Life Support Planning
- Develop and maintain sustainable support solutions that enable operational readiness and enduring capability.
- Produce and maintain Through-Life Management Plans and In-Service Support Plans.
- Coordinate support planning across hardware, software, hosting environments, training, documentation and service management functions.
- Support the transition of capability into service and ongoing sustainment.
- Supportability Engineering
- Lead analysis of reliability, availability, maintainability and supportability requirements.
- Ensure supportability considerations are reflected in system design decisions and architectural trade-offs.
- Develop support concepts that optimise operational effectiveness while minimising through-life support costs.
- Oversee obsolescence, asset management and configuration management considerations.
- Managing Agent and Supplier Assurance
- Act as the MOD intelligent customer for ILS activities delivered by the Managing Agent and supporting suppliers.
- Review, challenge and assure supplier-produced supportability artefacts and recommendations.
- Monitor supplier performance against contractual supportability obligations.
- Ensure support arrangements remain aligned with operational and business requirements.
- Service Transition and Operational Readiness
- Lead support planning for transition into service and achievement of Initial Operating Capability (IOC) and Full Operating Capability (FOC).
- Coordinate operational readiness assessments and supportability assurance activities.
- Ensure support organisations are appropriately trained, equipped and prepared to sustain the capability.
- Support trials, exercises and operational evaluation activities where required.
- Stakeholder Management
- Build effective working relationships across Army HQ, Defence Digital, NADG, Front Line Commands, support organisations and industry partners.
- Provide expert logistics support advice to programme leadership, users and technical teams.
- Coordinate supportability activities across multiple stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Governance, Assurance and Risk Management
- Provide supportability assurance to programme governance forums and senior stakeholders.
- Maintain logistics risk registers and develop effective mitigation plans.
- Identify and manage risks affecting operational availability, resilience and sustainment.
- Support internal and external assurance reviews, audits and investment approvals.

- Essential Qualifications
- Recognised Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) qualification or equivalent professional experience.
- Defence logistics, engineering or supportability management qualification.
- APMP Practitioner.
- MSP Foundation or Practitioner.
- PRINCE2 Practitioner.
- ITIL Foundation (or higher).
- Degree in Engineering, Logistics, Information Systems, STEM discipline or equivalent professional experience.

- Desirable Experience
- Previous appointment as an Integrated Logistics Support Manager (ILSM) within Defence Digital, DE&S, Front Line Command or equivalent Defence organisation.
- Experience supporting CIS, digital, cloud-hosted or military information systems.
- Understanding of Army ISTAR processes and operational information flows.
- Understanding of deployed military operations and tactical communications environments.
- Experience working within Defence acquisition, delivery or support organisations.
- Familiarity with ITIL service management processes and digital service transition.
- Experience supporting operationally deployed or expeditionary capabilities.
