Business Development Manager - Insurtech

A high-growth Insurtech is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive expansion within the Specialty risk analytics domain. This role is ideal for a self-starter who can own the full sales cycle, has proven success in new business, and can help shape go-to-market strategy in a rapidly-evolving technology space. Our client has seen excellent recent success with revenue increase close to double over the last year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end sales cycle: lead generation, qualification, pitching, and closing
  • Develop tailored sales playbooks and strategies for the Critical Infrastructure sector
  • Build and grow relationships with strategic enterprise accounts and industry partners
  • Identify, onboard, and manage channel partners to expand indirect sales opportunities
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success to deliver seamless client experiences
  • Support transition of deals into delivery, ensuring successful implementation and retention
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline management and reporting
  • Drive revenue growth through upsell opportunities and expansion within key accounts
  • Support global sales initiatives where relevant to the sector

Key Requirements

  • c5 years’ experience in an Insurtech new business focused role
  • This should include proven success selling into large commercial enterprises
  • Strong consultative selling skills
  • Ability to independently build and grow new markets or verticals
  • Confident engaging senior stakeholders and C-suite decision-makers
  • Highly organised with strong planning, time-management, and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and pitches
  • Proficient in CRM tools (HubSpot preferred) and MS Office
