Head of Installations / Project Management
We are seeking a confident and capable Head of Installations to join a highly respected international company involved in small commercial construction projects, including the installation of electronic terminals. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operational leader to take full ownership of a nationwide PMO function, overseeing the successful delivery of complex projects at various sites across the UK. You’ll establish governance frameworks, embed best practices, improve performance and empower a nationwide team of project and site managers to deliver consistent, high-quality results. The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping departmental strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll align projects with organisational goals whilst supporting business growth into new sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the UK Project Management / Installations teams, building a strong, high-performance culture
- Oversee complex client programmes, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
- Establish project governance frameworks, SLAs, and performance standards
- Drive collaboration across Sales, Project Management, and Compliance teams
- Ensure adherence to Health & Safety, CDM regulations, and industry standards
- Champion operational efficiency, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Represent the Company in senior client meetings and internal strategy sessions
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence and own transport essential
- 10+ years' experience in a senior operational, programme, or project management role
- Ideal background could be small commercial construction, shopfitting or installation projects
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage departmental budgets
- Proven experience leading dispersed or multi-site teams
- Excellent communication, leadership skills, and stakeholder engagement
- Project management qualification or equivalent experience (e.g. PRINCE2, APM)
