Lead Business Analyst – P&C Insurance

We are partnering with a leading organisation in the P&C insurance market to appoint an experienced Senior Business Analyst to act as Lead BA. This is a high-impact, client-facing role suited to a seasoned BA who can lead complex solution implementations, manage teams, and drive transformation across underwriting and reinsurance functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end business analysis activities across P&C insurance transformation programmes
- Engage with business, IT, and third-party stakeholders to gather, validate, and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements
- Drive implementation of solutions across Policy Administration, Rating, Underwriting, Claims, and Reinsurance
- Oversee configuration of rating logic, business rules, and underwriting workbench capabilities
- Conduct impact assessments, manage change requests, and provide accurate effort estimates and delivery plans
- Support and coordinate functional testing, UAT cycles, defect resolution, and production readiness activities
- Provide leadership and oversight to BA teams, ensuring quality of documentation, deliverables, and stakeholder communication
- Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment between underwriting, reinsurance, and financial reporting processes
Essential Requirements
- Extensive Business Analysis experience within P&C Insurance (15+ years preferred)
- Strong expertise in Ceded Reinsurance, including treaty and facultative structures - essential
- Demonstrable experience working with Delegated Authority / Underwriting Workbench environments - essential
- Proven background in delivering finance transformation programmes within insurance
- Experience implementing insurance software platforms (core or customised solutions)
- Strong team management experience, with the ability to mentor and lead BA resources
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and presentation skills
- Based within easy access of C. London (3 days in office)
