We are partnering with a global P&C insurance client leading a large-scale transformation programme to source an experienced Lead Data Tester with strong ETL Testing, SQL, and London Market Reinsurance expertise. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Lead Data Tester to play a pivotal role in shaping the quality and integrity of complex reinsurance data solutions within London Market. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage testing activities across large-scale data transformation programmes
  • Perform hands-on ETL and backend testing using SQL and data profiling techniques
  • Validate complex insurance data flows, mappings, and reconciliation processes
  • Conduct data migration testing, including legacy-to-target validation and defect analysis
  • Create test analysis, test scenarios, test conditions, and execution plans from business and technical documentation
  • Manage and prepare test data for functional and non-functional testing activities
  • Execute integration testing across multiple systems and platforms
  • Produce testing reports, metrics, and dashboards using Power BI, SQL Reporting, or equivalent reporting tools
  • Identify, manage, and escalate risks, dependencies, and data quality issues proactively
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery across programme milestones

Requirements

  • Strong experience within London Market Reinsurance testing
  • Excellent understanding of:
  • Contract structures
  • Bordereaux
  • Insurance data mappings
  • Regulatory reporting requirements
  • Proven hands-on ETL testing experience
  • Strong SQL and backend data testing capability
  • Experience working on complex transformation programmes with multiple system integrations
  • Solid understanding of:
  • Data quality validation
  • Reconciliation testing
  • Data migration testing
  • Defect analysis
  • Experience across both functional and non-functional testing
  • Ability to independently generate reports using Power BI, SQL Reporting, or similar reporting tool
  • Easy access to London for hybrid working
  • Available to start within 4-6 weeks – immediate preferred
