Tachbrook park – Warwick – Hybrid (Open to other locations providing a 2 day a week site attendance as per policy)

Salary: Upto £55,000 DOE

Role Overview

The Data Governance Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing our organisation’s data governance framework, ensuring that our data assets are managed with integrity, security, and strategic value. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams, establish best practices, and drive the adoption of data management standards to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

· Design, develop, and enforce data governance policies and frameworks across the organisation.

· Lead Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives, ensuring data consistency, quality, and reliability.

· Write and review data management policies, procedures, and guidelines.

· Serve as a subject matter expert in data governance, providing guidance and training to stakeholders.

· Collaborate with technical and business teams on the selection, implementation, and optimisation of data management software and tools.

· Monitor regulatory compliance and industry standards related to data governance.

· Manage the lifecycle of organisational data through policies and procedures.

· Drive continuous improvement through assessment and enhancement of current data governance practices.

Required Experience & Skills

· Proven experience in Master Data Management (MDM) and enterprise data governance initiatives.

· Demonstrated ability in drafting and implementing data governance policies and procedures.

· Strong credentials and track record in data governance, including relevant certifications or training.

· Technical expertise in deploying and integrating new data management software platforms.

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

· Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams.

Desirable Qualifications

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.

· Certification in Data Governance, Data Management, or related disciplines (e.g., DAMA, DCAM).

· Experience working in regulated environments or sectors with strict data compliance requirements.
