Senior Digital Trainer
Job summary
We are looking for a motivated and engaging Senior Digital Trainer to join the Digital Services Training Team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is an opportunity to play a key role in supporting staff to use Epic and other digital systems safely, efficiently and with confidence.
You will design and deliver high-quality training, work closely with clinical and non-clinical teams to understand their needs, and provide specialist advice to support improvements in workflows and patient experience. Alongside this, you will support the development of others through mentoring and leading training initiatives.

Main duties of the job
The Senior Digital Trainer works as part of the training team to design, deliver and support training for Epic and related digital tools and systems.
The post holder engages with clinicians and staff to assess training needs, develops and maintains training materials and environments, and delivers training using a range of methods. They analyse workflows, provide specialist advice on system use, and support for system changes to improve efficiency and patient experience.
The role includes supporting and mentoring Digital Trainers and new team members, contributing to team development, and working collaboratively with stakeholders while managing workload independently.
As part of this role, the post holder will be required to undertake training to obtain Certification/Accreditation in an Epic Module.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- General education to degree level, equivalent professional qualification or equivalent experience.
- IT Qualification in Excel (or equivalent experience).
- PRINCE/MSP or other project management qualification.
- Epic certified in at least one application.
Experience
- Experience of working with clinical staff, medical consultants and other senior managers.
- Experience of delivering projects to tight deadlines.
- Experience of delivery of benefits from the implementation of technology / services.
- Experience of managing clinical and/or operational services within the NHS.
- Experience of working with an EPR system.
- Application support service delivery.
