Senior IT Project Manager
Job summary
We have an opportunity available for a Senior IT Project Manager to manage the delivery of IT projects, as agreed with the Head of IT.
You will ensure project objectives and schedules are achieved on time and to budget.
Reporting to the Head of IT as part of a team of Project Managers, you will be accountable for the detailed planning and delivery of IT projects.
You will have line management responsibility for a team of Project Managers.
Main duties of the job
Manage the delivery of IT projects, as agreed with the Head of IT.
Ensure project objectives and schedules are achieved on time and to budget.
Support the head of IT in the assessment, procurement or development, and delivery of IT Projects.
Support the Head of IT in the management and control of the IT project portfolio.
Responsible for providing updates and progress against all core Projects based on progress - risk and cost.
Project Management expertise and advice on all areas of Programme / project governance using Prince 2 as a methodology.
Undertake the Project Management lead role for significant capital funded projects that have been approved by the organisation.
Take the lead on complex and or high profile IT projects.
Coordination and day to day management of Project Management resources.
Timely and accurate reporting on all projects.

Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent professional qualification
- PRINCE 2 Foundation or equivalent industry standard project methodology
- Qualification in Project Management (Prince 2 Practitioner or MSP)
- Qualifications in ITIL standards

- Extensive IT Project Management in a large complex organisation
- Significant experience of the full project lifecycle
- Significant experience of IT project planning
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- NHS Clinical Systems Project Management experience
- Understanding of existing CUH systems
- Understanding of healthcare systems
- Experience of managing the implementation of Office 365
- Experience of managing the implementation and migration of servers
- Technical IT systems knowledge
Knowledge
- In-depth understanding of NHS business and clinical environments
