L&D Manager

Camino Partners are excited to be partnering with a London-based high-growth STEM recruitment business who are looking to develop their L+D team with a strong leader with recruitment experience.

The Head of L&D represents an important function in the delivery of the business strategy.

This is a high-impact position reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Sales Directors.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the performance DNA of a growing recruitment business at a pivotal stage. You will work directly with the CEO, influence leadership capability, build a scalable academy model and leave a lasting imprint on culture and performance standards across the organisation.

What You Will Do:

  • Own and deliver the full L&D strategy across the business — from graduate academy through to leadership development — aligned to growth and performance targets.
  • Design and run a high-performance graduate programme, taking entry-level hires from onboarding through to billing readiness, embedding standards, KPIs and accountability from day one.
  • Coach across the full recruitment lifecycle (perm and contract), supporting both entry-level and experienced consultants to improve BD, candidate management, negotiation and closing capability.
  • Partner closely with Sales Directors and team leaders to identify performance gaps, elevate standards and directly impact revenue outcomes.
  • Develop measurable training frameworks, including assessments, benchmarking and ROI reporting across teams and brands.
  • Deliver training personally and visibly, maintaining credibility on the sales floor and leading all L&D communication across the business.
  • Manage and evolve training resources and external suppliers, ensuring content remains commercially relevant and performance driven.

What We're Looking For:

  • Recruitment background is essential — either as a high-performing recruiter or L&D professional within a recruitment business
  • Proven experience training and developing graduates and entry-level consultants
  • Credibility with experienced billers and sales leaders
  • Commercially minded and aligned to business growth
  • Hard-working, resilient and energetic
  • Strategic in thinking but operational in delivery
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
