Operations Manager (City of London)
Operations Manager
Location: London Bridge (4 days in office).
Salary: £38,000
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
My client is a dynamic, high-growth recruitment business, specialising exclusively in placing contract IT and tech experts across Europe. Since launching in September 2022, they’ve deployed thousands of professionals across cloud, SAP, data, and development projects – primarily in the DACH region however across Europe. Founded by experienced recruiters with extensive IT Contract experience they operate within a fun, energetic office culture based in London Bridge.
The Role
They’re looking for a driven and proactive Operations Manager to join the team during a crucial period of growth. This is a generalist role with a broad remit, ideal for someone who thrives in a startup-like, hands-on environment. You’ll be central to helping the business scale efficiently, bringing organisation, creativity, and operational control to a fast-paced, sales-led business.
This role is perfect for someone with a few years’ experience in operations, recruitment support, compliance or sales admin — or even a strong assistant or office manager ready to step up. We’re looking for candidate with bundles of energy, adaptability, and that’s a fantastic cultural fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Support: Oversee day-to-day business operations, supporting a sales team of 9 consultants.
- Sales Admin & Reporting: Manage and streamline sales reporting, internal comms, pipeline updates, and performance tracking.
- Compliance: Ensure contractor documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Reduce admin errors and take over compliance oversight from founders.
- Pay & Bill Support: Assist with contractor timesheet collection and liaise with payroll providers (Workwell/Evertime).
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and help implement smoother systems and workflows across the business.
- HR & Office Culture: Support onboarding, company handbooks, policies, and HR processes using tools like Charlie HR. Assist with social planning and maintain a fun, welcoming culture.
- Marketing & Branding: Help with social media posts, Canva design assets, internal branding, and brand ambassadorship.
- PA / EA type Activities: Responsible for planning & booking of overseas travel.
- Generalist Duties: Ad hoc tasks across the business from incentives planning, office organisation, to liaising with suppliers.
What They’re Looking For
- Experience in an operations, admin, recruitment, compliance, or office support role (Recruitment industry experience is a bonus)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Self-starter with a can-do attitude and appetite to learn
- Comfortable juggling multiple projects and switching between tasks
- Friendly, sociable and proactive personality – culture fit is key!
- Confident using tools like Microsoft Office, Bullhorn, Canva, and HR/payroll software (Charlie HR, Evertime etc.)
What You’ll Get
- A key role in shaping the future of a high-growth business
- 25 days holiday (flexible)
- Flexible gym/run break built into your day
- Regular team socials, incentives and culture-building activities
- Opportunity to grow with the business and upskill in areas like compliance, finance, marketing, and ops
- A fun, bubbly, and diverse team that values individuality and energy
If you’re looking to be a core part of a growing business, bring your ideas to the table, and work closely with experienced founders in a vibrant setting — I’d love to meet you.
