We are exclusively retained to appoint a Chief Financial Officer for a high-growth, private equity-backed consulting and technology-enabled business.

This is a critical hire at an inflection point. The company has scaled rapidly, operates internationally, and is now entering its next phase of growth under new investment. The CFO will work closely with an experienced CEO, leadership team, and investors to professionalise the finance function, drive performance, and support long-term value creation.

This role offers the opportunity to step into a true strategic CFO position within a fast-scaling, entrepreneurial environment, helping shape the business through to exit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of financial strategy, planning, and performance across a high-growth, project-based revenue model.
• Partner closely with the CEO and investors to drive growth, support strategic decision-making, and shape the long-term vision.
• Build and lead best-in-class FP&A, including robust financial modelling, forecasting, and KPI frameworks.
• Own investor relations, including board reporting, performance tracking, and delivering clear financial insight and narrative.
• Establish and scale the internal finance function, transitioning from outsourced support to a fully in-house capability.
• Implement appropriate governance, controls, and reporting standards aligned with private equity expectations.
• Drive operational finance improvements, including utilisation metrics, project profitability, and working capital management.
• Support commercial decision-making across pipeline, pricing, and client expansion strategy.
• Act as a key business partner to the leadership team, balancing growth ambitions with financial discipline.

Candidate Profile:

• Current CFO or experienced Finance Director ready to step into a first-time CFO role.
• Background in consulting, professional services, or technology-enabled businesses with project-based revenue models.
• Experience working in investor-backed environments (PE or VC is essential).
• Strong FP&A and commercial finance capability, with the ability to operate both strategically and hands-on.
• Proven experience building or scaling finance functions and implementing processes and controls.
• Confident communicator, comfortable operating at board and investor level.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, able to thrive in a high-growth, evolving environment.
• Ambitious leader looking to play a key role in scaling a business through its next growth phase and eventual exit.
