IT PMO (Carve Out)

We are seeking an experienced IT PMO to support the programme management of the IT workstream during a complex business carve-out from a parent organisation. This role provides planning, reporting, and coordination support across all IT-related separation activities, including systems, infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and data migration.

The IT PMO will work closely with IT leadership, functional teams, and the broader carve-out PMO to ensure Day 1 readiness and post-close stabilisation while maintaining business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the IT PMO Lead in maintaining the governance framework, reporting cadence, and programme documentation.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the integrated IT carve-out plan, covering Day 1 readiness, TSA delivery, and post-separation milestones.
  • Track progress and performance across IT workstreams, including applications, infrastructure, network, cybersecurity, and data migration.
  • Identify and escalate risks, issues, and interdependencies affecting IT deliverables.
  • Produce regular reporting, dashboards, and updates for senior IT leadership and the broader PMO.
  • Coordinate activities between IT workstreams, functional teams, and external advisers or vendors.
  • Ensure IT carve-out activities align with deal assumptions, separation objectives, and operational execution.
  • Support preparation of IT teams for Day 1 go-live, readiness sign-off, and post-close stabilisation activities.
  • Assist with TSA tracking, reporting, and compliance activities for IT services.

Required Experience

  • Experience supporting PMO activities in IT-related carve-outs, separations, or technology transformations.
  • Familiarity with IT operations, systems, infrastructure, and applications in a large enterprise environment.
  • Experience in preparing reports, dashboards, and tracking progress against programme plans.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
  • Experience working with external vendors or advisers desirable.
