Project Support Administrator

Our client is looking for a Project Support Administrator. Based in Aberdeen, the role is on a full-time contract basis.

ROLE

Reporting to the Programme Manager, the Project Support Officer will work closely with the Student Records System Replacement Project team, College colleagues and external suppliers

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Takes responsibility for the provision of support services to projects.
  • Produces reports to support the management and tracking of the project.
  • Use business analysis techniques to understand and interpret business needs to assist with detailed requirement documentation.
  • Support and provide guidance to the designated project manager and project teams in the delivery of the project.
  • Support the transition process from projects into full operation, central to this will be system and support documentation as well as formulate test plans and conduct user acceptance testing.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Degree (SCQF Level 9) in relevant subject area or equivalent work experience.
  • Evidence of commitment to continuous professional development.
  • *Qualifications relevant to Project Management or Business Analysis.
  • *Membership of professional bodies.

Experience And Knowledge

  • Experience of supporting and delivering successful projects and/or Project Management or Business Analysis in an organisation.
  • Evidence of service improvement in an organisation.
  • Evidence of effective planning and delivery of projects.
  • Experience of working in a team environment and contributing to multiple project and initiatives.

Knowledge

  • Working Knowledge of project management methodology and tools such as Prince 2 and Agile.
  • Working knowledge of business analysis tools and techniques such as requirements elicitation, structured analysis and design, process mapping and systems modelling.
  • A broad understanding of the technical underpinnings of IT systems.
  • Ability to understand and interpret user requirements.
