Campbell Grove Talent are exclusively partnering with a leading tech business based in Leeds, who are looking to appoint a new Head of Risk and Compliance.

Risk and compliance doesn’t have to be the department of "no." This role is about enabling smart decisions, not creating roadblocks.

We're looking for a strategic thinker who gets that good risk management isn't about stopping things - it's about making smarter decisions. You'll be the person who spots what's around the corner before it becomes a problem, turning complex challenges into clear, actionable plans that help leadership navigate confidently.

What you’ll be doing:

As the Head of Risk and Compliance, you'll build and maintain frameworks that help shape the business strategy, identifying real risks, putting practical mitigation plans in place, and keeping everything compliant. This is not just about ticking boxes - you'll be looking ahead for upcoming risks and opportunities, giving leadership the foresight they need to plan proactively.

You'll report to the CFO and work closely with the board, translating complex risk landscapes into reports that drive action. You'll also embed a culture where everyone understands their role in managing risk.

You'll need to be comfortable influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority over them.

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience leading risk management and compliance functions in a substantial organisation
  • Professional certifications (ISO 31000, GRC, ACA or similar)
  • Strong track record implementing risk frameworks and managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects
  • Excellent communication skills - you can explain technical concepts to anyone and influence at all levels
  • Analytical mindset with advanced data management skills

This is a pivotal role for someone who wants to genuinely protect and enable a business to grow.

If you think you have the right skills to succeed in a role like this, then please apply with your CV or contact Lucy Regan or Emma Dugdale for further information.
