Software Engineer
Quant Developer (Python) – High Performance Trading Systems | UK Remote
We’re looking for a strong engineer with Python expertise who wants to work close to the metal of quantitative trading infrastructure, building and operating the systems that move research into live production.
We’re looking for someone who can own real production systems, improve reliability, and work directly with researchers and traders to deliver robust, high-performance services.
Location: UK Remote (for the right candidate)
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Owning production microservices end-to-end – build, deploy, monitor, maintain
- Turning quant research into reliable production systems
- Designing and improving APIs and internal tooling used across research and trading
- Improving CI/CD, testing, deployment safety and operational reliability
- Supporting core strategy runtime infrastructure when required
- Working across services, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and tooling to reduce operational friction
Core Requirements:
- Strong Python engineering experience
- Experience building and operating production systems (not just research code)
- Comfortable working in large or existing codebases where correctness matters
- Experience with AWS / cloud infrastructure
- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or similar technical discipline)
Strong Advantage:
- One of either: C++, C#, Rust, or JavaScript
- Linux systems and debugging production services
- Distributed systems / microservices
- SQL and data investigation
- Observability tooling (Grafana, monitoring stacks)
- Experience in trading systems, market data, or systematic strategies
Why This Role Stands Out:
- Real ownership of production systems
- Direct collaboration with CTO
- Opportunity to build high-performance infrastructure used in live trading
- Small, technically strong environment where engineering quality matters
If you’re a Python engineer who enjoys solving hard engineering problems and working on systems where performance and reliability matter, we’d like to hear from you.
Apply for immediate consideration.
