QA Software Tester

A dynamic software development team are seeking a QA Software Tester to join the team in Liverpool to build leading asset management technology used across the lifting and rigging sector. What You'll Be Doing as QA Software Tester:

• Test Planning – Build and maintain test plans, test cases, and scripts for every piece of software before it reaches a customer.
• Functional & Regression Testing – Run functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across the platform, then track defects through to resolution.
• Automation with Playwright – Design, build, and maintain automated test suites, integrating them into the CI/CD pipeline to keep releases fast and reliable.
• Defect Management – Log and prioritise issues in JIRA, producing clear, reproducible bug reports the dev team can actually act on.
• Collaboration – Work closely with developers and product owners throughout the development lifecycle, helping build a genuine quality-first culture.

What We're Looking For in the QA Software Tester:

• Previous experience as a QA Tester or Software Tester within a software development supplier.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for web automation, end-to-end testing, and scripting.
• Strong test design and execution skills across functional, regression and exploratory testing.
• Experience with JIRA or similar defect/project management tools.
• Sharp attention to detail – you spot the edge cases others miss.
• Clear communicator, comfortable explaining issues to technical and non-technical people alike.
