Software Engineer

Mid-Senior Software Developer – Remote (monthly travel to Manchester)

I’m partnering with a fast-growing proptech company that’s transforming rental property management through an innovative, cloud-based platform. They’re expanding their engineering team and looking for a motivated mid-senior Software Developer with solid full-stack experience to help enhance and build new features.

You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders in an agile team, contributing to continuous improvement while learning from and collaborating with senior engineers. If you don’t have every skill listed, that’s okay — you’ll have plenty of support to grow and develop.

  • 2.5 to 3+ years experience with JavaScript and TypeScript across the full stack
  • Practical knowledge of React.js and Next.js for frontend development
  • Backend experience with Node.js and Express.js (or similar)
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, and RDS
  • Experience with containerisation tools like Docker; exposure to Kubernetes a plus
  • Understanding of RESTful and GraphQL APIs
  • Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB)
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform or CloudFormation) is beneficial
  • Experience with testing frameworks like Jest or Cypress
  • Comfortable working with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
  • Awareness of security best practices and performance optimisation
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in agile teams
  • Willingness to learn, contribute ideas, and grow technically

Bonus skills:

Some experience with serverless architectures, microservices, or event-driven systems. Familiarity with CSS frameworks such as Tailwind or Styled Components is a plus.
