Fullstack Developer

Location: York(4 days per week in office)

Salary: 40 - 50,000 + Benefits

We're partnering with an established technology business that is continuing to invest heavily in its in-house engineering function. Following a recent growth phase and the successful onboarding of several developers, they're always keen to connect with talented Full Stack and Backend Developers who can add real value to their team.

This is an opportunity to join a close-knit, collaborative environment where developers play a key role in shaping modern, scalable software solutions. You'll be working within a service-based architecture, building and maintaining API-driven applications rather than traditional monolithic platforms.

The Role

As a Senior PHP Developer, you'll be involved in designing, developing and improving a range of applications and services that support the business's technology ecosystem. You'll work closely with experienced engineers and technical leaders to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining applications using PHP
• Building and consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL services
• Working within a service-oriented architecture
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver technical solutions
• Contributing to technical discussions, architecture decisions and best practices
• Supporting and mentoring less experienced developers where appropriate
• Ensuring code quality through testing, reviews and continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

We're particularly interested in developers who enjoy working in a collaborative office environment and can be on-site four days per week.

Key skills and experience:

• Strong commercial experience with PHP
• Experience working with GraphQL
• Strong understanding of API-driven development
• Experience using tools such as Postman
• Knowledge of service-based or microservices architectures
• Full software development lifecycle experience
• Previous experience in a mid-level or senior development position
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
