Salary: £45,000-£55,000

A well-established manufacturing business, known for producing high-quality products and driving continuous innovation, is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead and manage its technology landscape.

This pivotal role will oversee the full spectrum of IT infrastructure and services, ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of systems that support core manufacturing and business operations.

You’ll lead both strategic IT planning and day-to-day operations while working as part of a collaborative, close-knit team. A key aspect of the role will be mentoring, providing guidance, fostering development, and helping to grow a skilled, resilient IT function.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the management and optimisation of on-premise virtualised infrastructure.
• Ensure robust cybersecurity practices, including firewalls, antivirus, and policy enforcement.
• Oversee system updates, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Administer and enhance enterprise networks and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Maintain performance and availability of critical systems (ERP, telephony, network devices).
• Provide 2nd/3rd line technical support where required.
• Drive IT projects, including hardware/software selection and implementation.
• Mentor, support, and develop IT team members to ensure continuity and growth.

Key Skills

• Proven experience in an IT Manager or Service Desk Manager role.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 administration and management tools.
• Solid understanding of enterprise networking and domain infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell.
• Experience working with VMware environments.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong leadership capability.
