Information Technology Specialist

IT Technician - Preston - £28k

I am looking for a hands-on IT Technician to support and maintain internal IT infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with hardware and resolving technical issues in person. I am looking for someone who has experience with Microsoft server environments, practical IT support, troubleshooting and maintaining laptops, printers, and assisting with server hardware refreshes.

What to expect

• Provide on-site technical support to users across the business.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues involving laptops, desktops, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot printers and print-related issues.
• Assist with server hardware maintenance and refresh projects.
• Support and maintain Microsoft server environments.
• Carry out basic networking troubleshooting.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with server hardware upgrades or refresh projects.
• Knowledge of Active Directory and user account management.
• Basic network troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with device imaging or deployment tools.
• Experience fixing hardware – printers, computers, laptops.

Working Arrangement

• On-site role – 5 days per week.
• Requires a hands-on approach to IT support and maintenance.
