About the Role:

This company is seeking a skilled and motivated 1st Line Support Engineer to join its growing IT support team. This role is suited to an individual who already has experience in a 1st Line or Service Desk environment and is looking to further develop their technical capabilities within a supportive and technically focused organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support both remotely and on-site.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Windows desktop (up to Windows 11) issues.
  • Support Microsoft 365 users, including basic setup and account management.
  • Assist with basic networking issues (connectivity, VPNs, routers, firewalls).
  • Support backup systems and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Manage and update tickets using RMM and service desk systems.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to 2nd and 3rd Line support when required.
  • Install, configure, and deploy new systems and software.
  • Work closely with senior engineers to gain hands-on technical experience.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and client records.
  • Deliver a consistently high level of customer service.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a 1st Line / Service Desk support role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Desktop (up to Windows 11).
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, switches, routers, VPNs).
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery principles.
  • Familiarity with 2FA systems (Microsoft, Duo).
  • Experience with email security and spam filtering solutions.
  • Confident use of RMM and ticketing systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous technical development.
