Role: Azure Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Manchester
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and hands-on Azure Infrastructure Engineer to play a key role in the delivery, support, and continuous improvement of a growing Azure cloud environment.
Working closely with the CTO and engineering teams, you'll be responsible for implementing and maintaining Azure infrastructure, ensuring secure and reliable cloud services, and driving consistency across multiple environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain Azure infrastructure.
- Configure and support cloud networking components.
- Maintain security configurations, monitoring solutions, logging frameworks, and alerting capabilities.
- Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives, ensuring appropriate documentation and operational readiness.
- Contribute to infrastructure standardisation programmes, promoting consistency across endpoint, browser, and platform configurations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and third-party support providers to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure and platform issues.
- Assist in improving the reliability, security, and operational efficiency of the Azure estate through best-practice implementation and continuous improvement activities.
Skills and Experience Required:
Essential
- Proven hands-on experience building, configuring, and troubleshooting Azure environments.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals.
- Knowledge of security best practices and the implementation of core cloud security controls.
- Practical, delivery-focused approach with the ability to take ownership of technical solutions from implementation through to support.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative technical team.
Desirable
- Experience with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview & Cloudflare technologies.
