Salary: £30,000-£40,000

A data-focused organisation is looking to appoint a SQL Developer to play a key role in the management, transformation, and delivery of data across the business. This position offers exposure to a broad range of data functions, including database support, data integration, reporting, and analytics.

The role is ideal for an individual with a strong grounding in SQL who is looking to further develop their technical capabilities within a varied and hands-on environment. The successful candidate will work with operational and analytical data, helping to ensure information is accessible, reliable, and effectively utilised across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain robust SQL solutions to support operational processes, reporting requirements, and business decision-making.
  • Design, enhance, and troubleshoot database objects, including stored procedures, views, and complex query logic.
  • Assist in the delivery of data integration activities, ensuring information is efficiently collected, transformed, and consolidated from multiple sources.
  • Support the ongoing performance, availability, and optimisation of database platforms through monitoring, maintenance, and tuning activities.
  • Prepare and structure datasets for reporting and analytical purposes, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and usability.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.
  • Contribute to the production of dashboards, reports, and performance metrics that provide meaningful business insight.
  • Support data governance, validation, backup, and recovery processes to maintain the integrity and reliability of business data.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing processes, streamline workflows, and enhance the overall efficiency of the data environment.
  • Assist with issue investigation and root cause analysis across database, reporting, and data processing activities.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, or equivalent platforms.
  • Ability to analyse problems, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions.
