Job Title: Banking Solution Architect

Drive the design, development, and implementation of technology solutions for complex core banking and current account business challenges. Ensure systems are  scalable, resilient, and secure , while enabling innovation and compliance. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders across business and technology, owning the delivery of architecture for core banking programs, and guiding integration strategies balancing  cloud adoption, automation, and regulatory requirements .

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the  design and technical architecture for loans, savings/current accounts, account switching, and payments, ensuring scalability, resiliency, security, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with project managers, product owners, and business analysts to align solutions with business requirements and risk controls.
  • Manage  architectural governance , producing design artefacts for privacy, records management, and risk.
  • Advise business and product teams, supporting technical delivery and innovation in the banking landscape.
  • Evaluate and integrate vendor products, support systems strategy, and automate operational processes to reduce manual intervention.
  • Stay current with  industry trends, payment schemes, and emerging technologies to drive continuous improvement.

Essential Expertise
  • Domain Knowledge: Current account and core banking landscape, payment schemes, cards issuance and authorization journeys.
  • Technical Skills: Architecture paradigms (cloud, APIs, DevOps, security), integration strategies, and automation.
  • Soft Skills: Strong stakeholder management, business acumen, and ability to influence strategy across multiple teams and functions.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in  core banking modernization and  digital transformation programs .
  • Familiarity with  regulatory compliance frameworks in financial services.
  • Knowledge of  vendor evaluation and third-party integration .
