Hadoop Data Engineer

About the Job you are considering:

Results-driven Hadoop Data Engineer with experience designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale data processing solutions for financial services organizations. Skilled in building robust data pipelines, managing big data platforms, and transforming high-volume structured and unstructured financial data into actionable insights. Proficient in Hadoop ecosystem technologies including HDFS, Hive, Spark, Sqoop, Kafka, Oozie, and YARN, along with SQL and cloud-based data platforms

Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role:

• Design, develop, and optimize Hadoop-based data ingestion and processing pipelines.
• Build ETL/ELT workflows using Spark, Hive, Sqoop, Kafka, and other big data tools.
• Integrate data from banking, trading, payments, risk, and customer management systems.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance with financial regulations.
• Develop data models and data marts for reporting, analytics, and machine learning use cases.
• Monitor and troubleshoot batch and real-time data processing jobs.

• Programming: Python, Scala, Java, Shell Scripting

• Workflow Tools: Oozie, Airflow
