Java Fullstack Technical Lead

Capgemini Financial Services is looking for a Technical Lead to support a leading bank in enhancing its Corporate Client Self‐Serve capabilities, delivering a seamless and intuitive digital experience while reducing reliance on client support services.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part within one of the newly formed Scrum teams, leading the design, development, testing, and implementation of key features on the iPortal Corporate Digital Self‐Serve platform. You will combine hands‐on technical expertise with technical leadership, guiding a cross‐functional team and helping to shape the platform’s architecture to ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and high‐quality solutions.
Your Role:
- Lead and guide a cross‐functional Scrum team comprising developers, testers, UX designers, and business analysts.
- Collaborate closely with the Delivery Lead, Scrum Master, and Bank Group Member stakeholders to prioritise backlog items and ensure timely, high‐quality delivery.
- Drive technical design and architecture decisions across full‐stack development using Angular and Java.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in coding standards, testing strategies, performance optimisation, and maintainability.
- Conduct regular code reviews and provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members.
- Work closely with UX designers to deliver responsive, accessible, and intuitive user interfaces.
- Oversee integration testing, automation testing, and performance testing activities.
- Ensure solutions comply with security, scalability, and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the technical liaison between Supplier Group Member teams and Bank Group Member stakeholders.
- Support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the broader engineering community.
Your Skills:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
- Strong experience delivering solutions in Agile / Scrum environments.
- Full‐stack development expertise using Angular and Java.
- Strong understanding of microservices architectures, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure).
- Experience with automation testing frameworks and performance testing tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non‐technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to make sound technical decisions and mentor team members.
- Experience in banking or financial services, particularly digital platforms or client‐facing portals.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience delivering enterprise‐grade, customer‐facing applications at scale
