Technology Department Overview:

Capital Dynamics’ Technology department is responsible for the development, secure operation, maintenance and support of Capital Dynamics global IT infrastructure and solutions. The IT department enables the company’s employees to communicate, collaborate and automate routine tasks, and provides staff with the technology required to perform their duties, while ensuring information security, compliance with various regulations and company policies.

Role Purpose:

Capital Dynamics (‘CD’) is seeking to hire a highly capable graduate, to join our Technology department in the role of Technology Support Analys t in London.

The support analyst will be the primary support contact for the CD London office. The role is responsible for the stability and quality of the Microsoft 365 environment, end-user support across all business functions, and the operational management of core IT processes including provisioning, asset management, and break-fix resolution. The analyst will be subject to a structured development path into the firm's data and AI programme as core competencies are established.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Microsoft 365 Administration – administer and maintain the firm's M365 environment including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and associated integrations. Own configuration, permissions management, and ongoing housekeeping across all services. Serve as the internal subject matter expert for M365 queries and issues.
  • End-User Support – deliver technology support to investment professionals, senior management, and operational staff across the London office. Maintain response and resolution standards consistent with a professional services environment. All support interactions are expected to meet a high service standard - proactive, accurate, and resolved without requiring follow-up.
  • User Lifecycle Management – own the end-to-end provisioning and deprovisioning process for all London-based staff. Manage access rights across M365 and connected systems in line with the firm's permissions framework. Maintain accurate records of user status and entitlements.
  • Break-Fix and Asset Management – triage, diagnose, and resolve hardware and software issues across Windows and Mac environments. Escalate to vendors or third-party support where required. Maintain the firm's technology asset inventory and manage device lifecycle.
  • SharePoint Administration – configure and maintain SharePoint sites, document libraries, and permissions structures. The firm operates active SharePoint infrastructure as part of its broader data programme; the Support Analyst is expected to contribute to its ongoing management and development.
  • Meeting Room and AV Technology – maintain meeting room technology, AV equipment, and video conferencing systems across the London office. Investment teams operate a high volume of internal and external calls; reliability of these systems is operationally critical.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Management – document resolutions, maintain configuration records, and develop runbooks for recurring processes. The Technology function operates with a small team; institutional knowledge must be captured systematically.
  • Flag security and risk concerns to the Technology Delivery Manager and Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Role development pathway – AI & Data Programme

Over the coming years, Capital Dynamics is executing a material transformation of its data infrastructure and AI capability. The programme spans three workstreams: DataCore, a medallion lake-house architecture on Google Cloud Platform; Lattice, an agentic automation layer; and Meridian, a decision intelligence capability in planning.

As core support responsibilities are established, the Support Analyst will gain structured exposure to this programme. This will include:

  • V7Labs - the agentic automation platform being deployed across investment and operational workflows, through which AI agents are built, scheduled, and governed.
  • Claude AI - the AI platform in active use across the firm for analysis, automation, and document generation.
  • Tamr – Machine learning enterprise master data management and entity resolution platform underpinning the firm's data warehouse, ensuring consistent entity identification across all data source within a structured hierarchy and graph database.
  • Google Cloud Platform / BigQuery — the infrastructure layer on which DataCore is built.

Exposure to these platforms will develop in proportion to demonstrated capability and capacity. No prior knowledge of any platform is required at the point of hire.

Education and Qualifications:

  • A degree-level education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI) or a related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration. Familiarity with SharePoint configuration and permissions management is an advantage.
  • Clear written and verbal communication. The role requires sustained interaction with senior professionals across investment and operational functions.
  • Organised and self-directed. The role carries real autonomy within a small team and requires the ability to manage competing priorities without close supervision.
  • Genuine interest in technology as a discipline, including current developments in data infrastructure and artificial intelligence AI.
  • The development pathway described above is substantive and candidates should approach it as such.

Languages:

  • Must be fluent in English and display superior verbal/written communication skills.
