We’re looking for a CPD Operator with solid experience in IT Operations, batch processing, and datacenter management to join our team and help ensure the reliability, availability, and security of our production systems 24/7.

🧠 Your mission will include monitoring and managing systems, coordinating with technical support and vendors, running automated batch schedules, and maintaining the efficient operation of the datacenter under a high-availability environment.

✅ Main Responsibilities

• Monitor systems, alerts, and consoles to ensure smooth operations.
• Execute and control automated batch processes using tools such as Control-M or VisualCron .
• Take first-line corrective actions and escalate issues to specialist teams when needed.
• Perform datacenter patrols and routine checks on temperature, security, and equipment.
• Support change and release activities (weekend deployments, system restarts, etc.).
• Coordinate with vendors and internal support teams (DBA, Network, Infrastructure).
• Maintain operational logs, reports, and follow security and access control procedures.
• Provide on-site support for planned maintenance or power-down weekends.

🧰 Technical Skills

• Experience with job scheduling tools (preferably Control-M ).
• Knowledge of Linux/UNIX and basic Oracle database concepts.
• Familiarity with shell scripting and JCL is a plus.
• Understanding of ITIL principles and operational best practices.

📍 Location : Cardiff, UK.

🕝 Schedule : flexible 24/7 shift rotations (12-hour shifts)).

🗣️ Languages : English C1 (or above).
