Frontend Developer

Frontend Developer (React / TypeScript) | FinTech SaaS Platform | UK (Hybrid, Warwickshire) | Competitive Salary + Benefits

About the Company

We are partnered with a fast-growing UK SaaS company building software for regulated financial and tax workflows. Their platform simplifies complex compliance processes by automating data capture, calculations, and submissions through intelligent software tools. The product supports accountants, advisers, and businesses in managing complex tax and reporting requirements through modern digital systems, improving accuracy and reducing administrative burden.

With regulatory frameworks becoming increasingly digital and data-driven, the company is building technology that helps professionals navigate compliance with confidence. They focus on developing reliable, user-centric software that simplifies complex financial processes while maintaining high standards of performance, clarity, and trust.

About the Role

They are seeking a Frontend Developer to join their growing engineering team and play a key role in designing and building clear, accessible interfaces for complex financial workflows.

This is a front-end focused position working primarily with TypeScript and React, building data-heavy screens and structured compliance journeys where strong UX directly reduces risk and cognitive load for users.

You will contribute to the evolution of the front-end architecture, help maintain and expand a shared component library, and collaborate closely with backend engineers, product teams, and designers to deliver reliable, well-structured software.

The engineering team operates with lightweight Agile processes that prioritise delivery over bureaucracy, within a low-ego, high-trust environment where developers have real ownership over their work.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain high-quality user interfaces using TypeScript, React, semantic HTML, and modern CSS.
  • Develop complex, data-dense interfaces including tables, forms, validations, and multi-step workflows.
  • Design and implement state management and data-fetching patterns, integrating cleanly with RESTful APIs.
  • Contribute to and evolve the component library and design system, promoting consistency and accessibility across the platform.
  • Maintain high engineering standards through code reviews, automated testing, and CI pipelines.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to define API contracts and improve developer experience.
  • Work closely with product and design teams to deliver clear, intuitive user experiences for complex workflows.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience developing web applications in a professional environment.
  • Strong experience with JavaScript / TypeScript and modern React development.
  • Experience building data-driven interfaces and complex frontend workflows.
  • Familiarity with state management and data-fetching patterns such as React Query, Zustand, or Redux.
  • Understanding of UX principles, accessibility standards, and frontend performance optimisation.
  • Experience writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code within a collaborative development environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Java / Spring Boot, SQL, or API design.
  • Experience working with Storybook, design systems, or modern front-end tooling such as Vite or Webpack.
  • Familiarity with Docker or cloud environments.
  • Experience collaborating closely with designers using tools such as Figma.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Hybrid working model with approximately one day per week in the Royal Leamington Spa office.
  • Opportunity to influence front-end standards and architecture.
  • Collaborative product-focused engineering culture.
  • Clear progression as the engineering team and product continue to scale.
