About the role:

Our client is a UK-based technology company with their own air traffic management platform expanding its engineering team to support a major programme delivering secure, cloud-native systems for national defence users. This role sits within a highly experienced engineering group working on mission-critical applications used across air, land and maritime operations.

You will work end-to-end across backend and frontend systems, contributing to the design and delivery of resilient, secure software in a pure cloud environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain full-stack features across a .NET backend and Angular frontend.
  • Build and operate scalable, secure services hosted entirely within Microsoft Azure.
  • Contribute to a cloud-native architecture designed for high availability, resilience and defence-grade reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with technical leads to deliver high-quality, well-tested software.
  • Support integration with complex, distributed infrastructures and on-premise data centres.
  • Follow secure development practices and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards.

Required skills and experience:

  • 5-8 years of experience experience as a Full Stack or Software Engineer in production environments.
  • Strong commercial experience with .NET and C#.
  • Solid frontend experience with Angular.
  • Hands-on experience working with Microsoft Azure, including deployments, service management and monitoring.
  • Strong understanding of building secure, resilient systems with high uptime requirements.

Nice to have (not essential):

  • Exposure to defence, government, aerospace, or similarly regulated sectors.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Experience integrating with legacy systems or complex enterprise platforms.
