Marketing Events Manager - SaaS
Marketing Events Manager
Overview:
An exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing B2B technology business as a Marketing Events Manager, taking ownership of its growing programme of live and digital events.
Working across conferences, exhibitions, roundtables, customer events and webinars, you'll be responsible for keeping the events calendar organised and ensuring each event is planned and delivered effectively from start to finish.
This is a hands-on events role for someone who loves organisation, coordination and making things happen. You'll work closely with Marketing and Sales, managing everything from venues, suppliers and speakers through to attendee communications, logistics and post-event follow-up.
The business has ambitious growth plans, with the US representing a key market, so there will also be some travel involved, including occasional trips to the US.
The Role:
You'll take ownership of the events and webinar programme, building a structured calendar and managing multiple events at different stages simultaneously.
From large industry conferences and trade shows to executive roundtables and webinars, you'll coordinate the detail behind each event and ensure internal teams, suppliers and stakeholders know exactly what needs to happen and when.
You'll also work closely with Sales to make sure events have clear commercial objectives, the right prospects and accounts are being targeted, and leads and opportunities are followed up effectively afterwards.
While this sits within Marketing, it isn't a heavily digital marketing-focused position. The emphasis is on excellent event management, organisation and coordination, alongside understanding how a successful B2B events programme contributes to wider commercial goals.
Responsibilities:
- Build and manage the annual events and webinar calendar
- Plan and deliver conferences, exhibitions, trade shows, sponsorships, executive roundtables, customer events and internal events
- Manage event logistics including venues, suppliers, organisers, speakers, stands, merchandise and travel
- Own event timelines, ensuring deadlines, responsibilities and dependencies are clearly managed
- Coordinate event requirements across Marketing, Sales and wider internal stakeholders
- Manage webinars and virtual events from initial planning and speaker coordination through to rehearsals, delivery and follow-up
- Coordinate registrations, attendee communications and webinar platforms
- Work with Marketing to support event promotion and drive attendance
- Partner with Sales on target accounts, invitations, meeting objectives and pre-event activity
- Ensure event leads and engagement data are captured and followed up effectively
- Track registrations, attendance, meetings, opportunities and wider event performance
- Manage event budgets and supplier spend
- Conduct post-event reviews and use insights to improve future activity
- Develop repeatable processes and templates to ensure events are consistently well organised and delivered
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing B2B events, field marketing programmes or a similar events-focused role
- Experience personally managing a varied programme of events rather than only supporting occasional events
- Strong experience across in-person events such as conferences, exhibitions, trade shows and roundtables
- Experience coordinating webinars and virtual events
- Excellent organisation and project management skills
- Comfortable managing multiple events, suppliers, stakeholders and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and confidence taking ownership of event logistics from start to finish
- Commercially minded, with an understanding of how events contribute to lead generation, Sales engagement and pipeline
- Confident working closely with Sales and Marketing teams
- Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills
- Experience using HubSpot or a similar CRM/marketing automation platform would be beneficial
- Experience with Asana and Zoom Webinars would be advantageous
- Experience within SaaS, technology, digital products, professional services or another B2B/enterprise environment would be beneficial
- Experience marketing to US enterprise audiences would be advantageous
- Comfortable with travel, including occasional travel to the US
