Responsibilities

As a Reliability Analytics Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering analytical solutions that provide actionable insight into aircraft reliability and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions that monitor aircraft reliability performance, operational KPIs and engineering metrics.
  • Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, root causes and opportunities for reliability improvement.
  • Design and implement analytical frameworks that support data-driven decision making across engineering and operational teams.
  • Build and maintain robust analytical data models using dbt, ensuring data accuracy, consistency and scalability.
  • Work directly with engineering, maintenance and business stakeholders to gather requirements and shape analytical solutions.
  • Challenge existing business logic, assumptions and performance measures to ensure meaningful and effective reporting.
  • Translate complex technical findings into clear recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through insight generation, performance monitoring and data storytelling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive, business-ready analytics products with strong user adoption.

Requirements

We're looking for an analytical professional who combines technical capability with strong commercial judgement and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience in aviation reliability, engineering analytics, maintenance planning, MRO environments or other asset-intensive industries such as automotive, transport, logistics or heavy industry.
  • Alternatively, experience delivering analytics and transformation projects within a top-tier strategy consulting firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG or equivalent).
  • Strong end-to-end analytics capability, from data exploration and analysis through to visualisation and stakeholder presentation.
  • Advanced experience with dbt, including designing, transforming and maintaining analytical data models.
  • Strong understanding of KPI development, metrics design and dashboard best practices.
  • Experience creating intuitive visualisation and reporting solutions that drive business decision making.
  • Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and challenge requirements where appropriate.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience working in complex operational environments where reliability, safety, performance or asset utilisation are key business drivers.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to play a key role in a strategically important reliability transformation programme within one of the UK's leading airlines. You'll work alongside engineering, operations and business leaders to deliver analytics that directly influence fleet performance, operational effectiveness and customer outcomes, while helping shape the future of reliability analytics within the organisation.
