Software Engineer C
We are working with a leading organisation within the defence and advanced technology sector, currently looking for a C++ Software Engineer to join a highly capable and collaborative team.
Based in Bristol, you'll contribute to the development of next-generation air defence systems, working on cutting-edge solutions that prioritise safety, performance, and reliability. This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in shaping command and control architectures for future products.
This opportunity is ideal for a proactive engineer who enjoys taking ownership and working across the full software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop command and control architectures for advanced systems
- Contribute to the development and evolution of future product instantiations
- Work across the full software lifecycle, from requirements through to verification and validation
- Collaborate with stakeholders and requirement authorities to define and refine solutions
- Produce clear and effective technical documentation
- Support continuous improvement by introducing new tools, techniques, and development approaches
- Ensure high standards of code quality, safety, and reliability
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong background in software engineering
- Proven experience developing in C++
- Experience working across the full software development lifecycle
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining delivery momentum
- Experience with additional languages or technologies such is advantageous
