Digital Change and Support Systems Manager
Job summary
The Head of Change and Support Systems will lead the Change Management process, ensuring smooth and minimal disruption during changes. This includes establishing and overseeing a Change Advisory Board (CAB), developing Terms of Reference (TOR), and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The role also involves documenting changes, providing regular reports, and monitoring progress to proactively address issues. Additionally, the Head of Change and Support Systems will customize service desk tools to suit the Health Board's needs, engage stakeholders to ensure transparency, and foster continuous improvement.
Main duties of the job
1. Change Management Leadership: Lead and manage the Change Management process within the Digital & Health Informatics Department, ensuring changes are implemented smoothly and with minimal disruption to services. This role will drive long-term improvements and substantial service delivery enhancements.
2. Team Management: Manage a team of engineers and associated staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance and development. This includes fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
3. Change Advisory Board (CAB) Management: Establish and lead the Change Advisory Board to oversee and approve changes within the organization, developing and maintaining Terms of Reference and Standard Operating Procedures. This role will ensure major reductions in health inequalities and substantial service delivery enhancements. The Head of Change and Support Systems will also directly support the Deputy Director of Digital and Health Intelligence in overseeing change management within Digital Services.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent experience.
- Extensive and advanced knowledge of Change Management design
- Business process design and implementation of new or enhanced processes.
- Project/programme management qualification.
- Proven track record with stakeholder engagement.
Experience
- Conversant with the implementation of all facets of Change Management including CAB creation, approval process
- Extensive experience of Service Desk or relevant ITSM products experience.
- Extensive experience in implementing and overseeing change in an enterprise organisation
- Experience, certified in Ivanti ITSM products.
- Knowledge of relevant NHS standards and legal requirements relating to ITSM and Change Management.
Skills and Attributes
- Ability to prepare and deliver high quality presentations to a wide range of grades and disciplines.
- Articulate and professional in dealing with Health Board Managers, Clinicians and external organisations.
- The production and use of appropriate tools and processes required to support large/enterprise organisations (eg PM skills like PRINCE 2, MSP or similar).
- Appreciation of Risk associated to Change and ITSM operations.
