Functional Strategy Generalist / Strategy & Operations Manager

📍 London, UK (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

💰 £51.92 per hour PAYE (£108,000 annualised equivalent)

📅 12-Month Contract (Parental Leave Cover)

We are supporting a globally recognised technology organisation in the search for a Functional Strategy Generalist to join a high-performing Strategy & Operations team supporting marketing organisations across EMEA.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of AI transformation, business operations, strategic planning, and organisational effectiveness, helping drive large-scale initiatives across a complex international business.

The Opportunity

You'll join a Strategy & Operations function responsible for improving execution, driving organisational alignment, and leading transformational initiatives across multiple business areas.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automate workflows, leverage AI technologies, and support strategic decision-making through data-driven analysis and business insight.

Key initiatives currently include:

• AI transformation and workflow automation
• Operational efficiency programmes
• Cross-functional strategic initiatives
• Scenario planning and business forecasting
• Organisational effectiveness projects

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic and operational initiatives from inception through execution
• Identify opportunities to automate and optimise business processes using AI technologies
• Build business cases, scenario models, forecasts, and strategic recommendations
• Partner with senior stakeholders to drive alignment and decision-making
• Translate business challenges into scalable operational solutions
• Develop reporting frameworks, planning processes, and performance metrics
• Support leadership teams with strategic planning and execution priorities
• Drive adoption of new tools, processes, and ways of working across the organisation

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of experience in Strategy & Operations, Business Operations, Consulting, GTM Strategy, or related functions
• Experience working within large-scale technology organisations or fast-paced international environments
• Strong analytical and scenario-planning capabilities
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments
• Strong project and programme leadership experience

Highly Desirable

• Experience within major technology organisations
• Hands-on experience building AI-powered workflows, agents, or automation solutions
• Familiarity with OpenAI, Gemini, Google AI Studio, or similar platforms
• Experience reducing manual operational processes through AI implementation
• Exposure to strategic planning, forecasting, and business performance management
