The Role

The Sales Administrator plays a key role in supporting both Account Management and New Business Sales within a predominantly professional services client base.

This position is central to ensuring the smooth coordination, administration and processing of managed services, hardware, software and project-based solutions. You will directly support revenue generation by enabling the sales team to operate efficiently, delivering excellent customer service and maintaining accurate, timely sales processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the sales inbox and answering inbound sales calls in a professional and timely manner
  • Handling customer enquiries and resolving order-related issues efficiently
  • Supporting Account Managers with day-to-day client administration and renewals
  • Maintaining and updating sales and customer records
  • Preparing and processing quotes and orders, ensuring accurate entry into sales systems
  • Building strong relationships with key vendors and distributors to secure competitive pricing and availability for hardware, software and services
  • Coordinating with internal departments to ensure smooth order fulfilment and delivery
  • Generating reports on sales activity and revenue performance
  • Supporting the organisation of client meetings, events and sales initiatives
  • Assisting with the preparation of sales presentations and proposals
  • Contributing to sales system optimisation and automation improvements

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within an MSP environment
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft products and associated technology vendors
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer service focused
  • Confident working within a team and able to be appropriately assertive when required
  • Comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, proactive and able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Outlook and Teams) and CRM/sales systems

Desirable

  • Experience using NetSuite and HubSpot
  • Sales data analysis experience
  • Technology vendor sales accreditations
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Experience supporting sales into the SME market
